Flash Fiction #170 – The Boy He Still Was

Hugo Primm never attended an event with less than three beauties at his side.

Wherever he strode, so did the flashing lights.

Everyone wanted time with the handsome businessman.

And so it should be, he thought. I’m an untouchable God.

When Sandra entered, he recognized her immediately.

What was the unrequited love of his past doing at a gala like this?

He puffed his chest as she neared,

relishing the moment she saw him.

But Sandra passed right on by, and Hugo deflated into the boy he still was.
