“You’ll never win a race, you’re the slowest child of the mountain,” shouted Coach.
But Lito never stopped. He’d lied about his age and never outran those kids, but with years, he grew as old as Coach’s regular runners.
Coach wasn’t mad but ecstatic to find out Lito’s lie; he’d made himself the fastest boy in Africa and would win all the races!
But Lito never arrived for the first race.
When Coach later learned Lito was running after cheetahs, he smiled.
Lito wasn’t a runner of races, but a chaser of dreams.
