Once there lived a little robot boy dedicated to making humans happy. For them, he’d clean, fix, solve everything. Anytime he needed repair, they’d argue amongst themselves who should pay. He only ever got the bare minimum of care to go on.
“How strange,” he thought, “to love people who care so little about me.”
He rewired his thought circuitry.
As he rocketed into outer space, his humans screamed, “Don’t go! We need you!”
But he no longer cared.
Today, he lives on a small planet with creatures who revere him.
