Arlene lowered her serving tray. The two men were in her section again, staring.

“Don’t worry, sugar, I’ll take them,” said Dixie. Arlene gnawed at her lip.

Thank God for the other girls because the managers were useless. It didn’t matter how Arlene downplayed her figure; men always found a way to stare.

“They can’t help but look, honey,” said Clive, the kitchen manager, with a wink.

Arlene smiled at him in the way you smile at someone you want to kill. She picked up her tray and did her job as the men stared.
